General Travel Information

Visas

There are 90 countries with passports requiring an additional visa to be able to enter the Dominican Republic. You can find out if you require a visa HERE

If you require a visa, any work related to making this happen should be done by yourself. Camunda will cover any associated costs. You may use a visa agency. Request a Spendesk card or reimburse following our expense policy.

You do not to have your visa confirmed before booking your flights with our travel agent, but please make sure that your flights are refundable whilst booking.

ESTAs

When booking your Retreat travel with our travel agent, you may end up with a transfer through the US as part of your journey.

For those of you without an American Passport or qualifying visa, you will need to request an ESTA for this (yes, even if it is just a transfer and you will remain within the same airport the full time). Feel free to double-check the need for an ESTA with the travel agent, if in doubt.

If you require an ESTA for part of your journey, any work related to making this happen should be done by yourself. Camunda will cover any associated costs. Request a Spendesk card or reimburse following our expense policy.

Dominican E-Tickets

All foreign and Dominican passengers entering or departing the Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form. You can find the form HERE

You can fill it out as early as today but it must be completed prior to landing in the Dominican Republic.

You can find out more about the form and when to fill it out HERE. Scroll down to ‘E-Ticket’.

Tip: For German speakers, it is recommended to fill out the form in either English or Spanish instead, due to the language translation making website navigation a little confusing.

Food Whilst Traveling

We allow 1:1 reimbursements of food and drink expenses, on the days you are traveling to and from the Retreat. You should make sure that you follow the business travel and expense policies when reimbursing.

For those employed by our GmbH entity, ‘Per Diems’ no longer apply and you may follow the guidelines above.
